News of Friends of Music Concerts, St. Louis

Dear Viewers,

Friends of Music Concerts has entered into a mutually beneficial relationship this year with the Arianna String Quartet and its summer program, the Arianna Chamber Music Festival.  The Arianna String Quartet will be performing a free concert on our series on Sunday, December 2nd, featuring Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden” Quartet (based on a Schubert song by that name) and the remarkable Quartet in C# minor Op. 131 by Beethoven.

This is the first season that Friends of Music Concerts will present the Arianna String Quartet, and on our June 2, 2019 concert, the students from the Arianna Chamber Music Festival.  Each year, Arianna Arts, Inc., raises funds to support the Arianna Chamber Music Festival: an international program that emphasizes intensive study of chamber music and cultural exchange.  Students from across the U.S. and abroad, as well as our very own in St. Louis, work together and socialize for a memorable, enriching and rewarding experience.

Sincerely yours,

Jeffrey Kurtzman, Co Director

Friends of Music Concerts
